Funding: $200,000 total. Foundation for Louisiana anticipates making two $50,000 grants and four $25,000 grants. Applicants must choose one funding level. Awards provide 12 months of unrestricted general operating support beginning in early November 2026.
Deadline: October 2, 2026. The official source does not publish an exact closing time or time zone, so Atlas does not infer one.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have an eligible 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, conduct at least 50% of their work in East Baton Rouge Parish, benefit young people ages 10-25 in the parish, and align with the opportunity’s community-defined priorities.
Supported approaches: Examples include mentorship, sustained relationship-building, employment and workforce development, wraparound supports, removal of participation barriers, healing-centered programming, street outreach, and violence interruption.
Atlas analysis: Atlas Opportunity Score 94/100. Big Buddy Program Applicant Opportunity Score 96/100. N9+ Fit Score 5/100. The Nonagon N9+ should not be forced into unrestricted youth violence prevention/general operating support. Big Buddy’s mentoring and workforce-development work aligns strongly, but the applicant must confirm that at least 50% of its organizational work is conducted in East Baton Rouge Parish before eligibility is treated as final. Dr. Miltie, LLC is not a direct eligible applicant.
