The Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (FAFCC) is accepting applications for the Florida Blue Food Access Grant Program / FAFCC Food Access Network 2026–2030, a four-year initiative funded by the Florida Blue Foundation to strengthen food access and food-security services at participating free and charitable clinics.
Funding: The initiative provides $352,000 in clinic subgrants over four years. Verified program materials describe $88,000 in clinic subgrants per program year and up to $12,000 per participating clinic per year, or up to $48,000 over four years, subject to performance, participation, available funds, and continued program support.
Deadline: FAFCC’s current September 9, 2026 announcement says applications are due by close of business October 8, 2026. A linked program overview previously reviewed by Atlas lists October 9, 2026 without a clock time. Atlas is using October 8 close of business as the conservative operational deadline and is not inventing a numeric time or time zone.
Eligibility: FAFCC member free and charitable clinics in Florida serving uninsured or underserved patients and communities experiencing food insecurity.
Program pathways: Build, Expand, and Food as Medicine. The Food as Medicine pathway can connect nutritious or medically appropriate food interventions with chronic-disease and maternal-health care. Verified program materials identify potentially eligible cost categories including food, refrigeration/storage/distribution equipment, transportation or delivery, direct staff time, technology, supplies, education/outreach, training, partner development, and other directly related costs subject to program approval.
Match: No mandatory match or cost-share requirement was identified in the verified program overview.
Atlas assessment: Atlas Opportunity Score 82/100. N9+ Fit Score 52/100, conditional. A legitimate role for the Nonagon N9+ remote physical examination platform may exist when technology-enabled clinical monitoring is directly integrated with an approved Food as Medicine model and tied to food-security and health outcomes. N9+ is not specifically named in the funding materials, so allowability should be confirmed before budgeting it. Dr. Miltie, LLC is not a direct eligible applicant; QC Healthcare or Dr. Miltie may participate only as an applicant-side implementation or clinical-technology partner where permitted.
Priority consideration: Verified program materials identify rural service as a priority and give special consideration to ZIP codes 32206, 32805, 33142, 33311, 33612, and 33613.
