BJA FY 2026 Crisis Response Training Program

BJA is offering up to $650,000 per award with no match for crisis-response training that improves law-enforcement and correctional responses to people experiencing behavioral-health crises, substance use disorders, intellectual or developmental disabilities, physical disabilities or traumatic brain injuries. Broad Eligibility

Eligible applicants include state governments, county governments, city or township governments, federally recognized Tribal governments and other qualifying units of local government; public and state institutions of higher education and private institutions of higher education; qualifying Tribal organizations; public or state-controlled institutions of higher education with on-campus police departments; and public or state-controlled hospitals with on-campus police departments.
